City of Tracy’s GIS Website

The City of Tracy is proud to announce that the public can now directly access the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Website from the comfort of their home.

The application can be reached directly at GIS Viewer.

GIS technology incorporates geographical features with data in order to allow for mapping, analyzing and assessing real world problems. The key word to this technology is Geography. As an example, GIS allows you to not only find schools, businesses or other geographical locations, but it will also provide information like school name, level of education taught, or student capacity.

GIS benefits residents, businesses, and anyone interested in finding demographic information about their neighborhood or a specific area of the City. To access information quickly and easily, the City of Tracy has developed four new GIS Web applications for its residents and business community. The application provides residents, developers, brokers and businesses direct access to city assets and demographic information along with the ability to analyze that data.
