Recreation & Programs
The Parks & Recreation Department offers programs for all ages throughout the year. Class offerings can be viewed and registered for by visiting www.tracyartsandrec.com. For Family ID and Password assistance, please call (209) 831-6202.

Calling all Contract Instructors!
Do you have knowledge, a skill, or talent you would like to share? Do you have experience teaching arts & crafts, physical fitness, or other activities? If you answered yes to any of those question and you would like to offer a class with the Tracy Parks & Recreation Department, please read the Contractor Handbook and Proposal Form and submit by the season's respective due date. We are always looking for instructors to teach classes for youth and adults in science, sports, fitness, and special interest.

Mommy/Daddy & Me
The fun happens on the field, so don’t just watch from the sidelines! Here is your chance to join in your toddler’s introduction to the world’s most popular sport. You’ll participate in fun, age-appropriate activities, and help your child to develop their motor and socialization skills. A variety of soccer activities are played each week. Adult participation is required. All participants receive a Kidz Love Soccer jersey!

Tot/Pre-Soccer
Little tykes will enjoy running and kicking just like the big kids! Children will have fun and learn the basic techniques of the game while building self-esteem. Children learn to follow instructions in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment. All participants receive a Kidz Love Soccer jersey! Shin guards are required after the first meeting.

Youth Softball Camp
The City of Tracy, in conjunction with All American Sports Academy, presents a 4-day softball camp June 3rd to June 6th at the Tracy Sports Complex. This camp is open to all players 7 to 14 years old, at all skill levels. Camp includes video analysis, hitting, bunting, slapping, pitching, catching, defensive skills, sliding, game situation and more.
The camp will be directed by Debbie Nelson and assisted by high school coaches and college players. Debbie is a past NCAA All-American, who coached college softball for 10+ years, 1 year in the National Pro Fastpitch league, at the high school level and has 13 years of experience as a Nike Softball Camp Director and skills instructor.

Lifeguard Training
Becoming a lifeguard requires lots of hard work and the desire to help save lives. Each student is required to pass prerequisite swim skill assessments before permitted to continue in the course; knowing how to swim is required to be successful. Once permitted to continue with the course students will work towards CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification.
Anyone interested in pursuing lifeguard certifications can typically find employment with local cities, health clubs, and swim leagues. This type of job is great for high school students, college students, and anyone who enjoys being around swimming pools. The American Safety & Health institute First Aid/CPR and AED course provides participants with training in basic First Aid, CPR and AED procedures. Participants will acquire and improve their knowledge and skills to protect and preserve life, alleviate suffering, and promote recovery. Join us to get certified/recertified!
