Phased construction will be established to minimize impact to residents.

Local and Emergency Access ONLY during construction.

Project Impacts:

The primary objective is to ensure the safety and timely completion of these improvements during:

Summer 2023 - Spring 2024

To accomplish this goal, the project will include the following impacts on the surrounding community:

  • Phased Roadway Closures
  • Minimized Access to Ritter Family Ball Park
  • Temporary Utility Shutdowns

Construction Updates:

Construction work will commence work from W. Grant Line Road south on Bessie Avenue and work towards Lowell Avenue. Work will be performed in stages to minimize impacts to the surrounding areas.

Stage 1 road closure signs and barriers are in place from W. Grant Line Road to W. Lowell Avenue to promote safety for residents and affected businesses in the area. Residents will receive door-hanger notifications of upcoming impacts to utilities at least 72 hours in advance of work that would affect service or accessibility for their property.

Residents are asked to park along side streets during construction and adhere to any signage in place to ensure safety. The contractor will notify the directly impacted properties as work progresses south along Bessie Avenue and will work to minimize impacts whenever possible.

Emergency Services will be maintained during construction.

The Contractor will not request to access or work inside your private property (residence, backyard, etc). Residents will see spray-paintedmarkings on the street and sidewalk area along Bessie Ave to confirm underground utility information.

Please note that during inclement weather events, construction activity may be reduced or halted. Work will resume once the event has passed and the area is determined to be acceptable to proceed. The reduction or halt of work is necessary to ensure the successful outcome of the project, and many areas require dry conditions or minimum temperature requirements to ensure work is satisfactorily completed.
