The City of Tracy offers free document shredding events to residents.  These events have trucks that shred all materials onsite, so there is never any risk of your personal information being seen by anyone.  Residents are limited to three banker boxes, or equivalent.  The next event is:

April 27, 2024 from 9:00am - 1:00pm
North Parking Lot of City Hall
333 Civic Center Plaza
Enter through East Street

Accepted Items:

• Books
• Magazines
• Paper
• Folders, including ones with clasps
• Papers with paper clips and staples

Items Not Accepted:

• VHS Tapes
• Floppy Disks
• CDs
• Cassette Tapes
• X-Rays
• Three Ring Binders

The dates for document shredding events for 2024 are:

• April 27th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
• July 20th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (note time change)
• November 2nd from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
