The Environmental Compliance section of the Utilities Division provides regulatory oversight for various environmental contaminants. One such area is the Wastewater Pretreatment Program.

The Pretreatment Program was created to enforce local, state, and federal wastewater regulations, protecting the sanitary sewer collection system, the wastewater treatment plant, the public, and the environment.
