Storm Water Management

Storm Water LogoThe goal of the Storm Water Management Program is to reduce the amount of pollutants that enter the City's Storm Drain System and are transported out to a local waterbody such as Old River.

Water Conservation and Efficiency

Water you doing to conserve logoThis division plans and coordinates City water efficiency efforts, including public education, monitoring and manages activities (Title 11).

Potable water should be used wisely, as it is a limited resource. Water efficiency requires an ongoing effort by all users to be successful. Reduced water bills and a more beautiful garden may reward your efficiency efforts.

The City of Tracy is currently in Stage 3 of its water shortage contingency plan.

For more information see the Water Conservation and Efficiency page.

Water Supply

The City uses a combination of surface water supplies from various irrigation districts as well as the Delta Mendota Canal to provide its customers with safe and healthy drinking water to their homes. The City also uses ground water wells when peak demands cannot be met through surface water only.
